The Tan Cabana's Tips For Scheduling Your Spray Tan Before Prom:

TWO DAYS BEFORE PROM:

-Schedule all waxing appointments

-Get your manicure and pedicure

-Exfoliate your skin all over two days before prom (which is a day before your spray tan appointment!)

-Wash your hair

-Shave

**Be sure to avoid Dove, Victoria's Secret, and Bath & Body Works products when exfoliating and moisturizing the days before (and after!) your Tan Cabana spray tan. These products create a film that can repel the spray tan from being fully absorbed by your skin, lead to a blotchy tan, and can make the spray tan fade more quickly. Also avoid oil-based exfoliants and products of any kind!**

A DAY BEFORE PROM:

-Schedule your Tan Cabana spray tan appointment for the day before prom. We suggest planning your spray tan in the evening and waiting 8-12 hours (the perfect time to get your beauty sleep!) before rinsing off.

-Rinse off in the shower before your spray tan appointment, ensuring to remove all deodorants, lotions, soaps and makeup from your face and body so that your spray tan goes on perfectly even!

-Our airbrush tan solution has a cosmetic bronzer that shows up immediately, so we recommend that you wear loose-fitting, dark-colored clothing to your spray tan appointment.

-Girls are allowed to go nude or wear a dark-colored bikini or bra/thong. The Tan Cabana asks that men wear a swimsuit or dark-colored briefs.

**Don't forget an umbrella and protective outerwear after your spray tan salon appointment with us in case it's raining! You cannot get wet for at least 8 hours after your airbrush tan to ensure the solution develops fully!**

THE DAY OF PROM:

-Rinse off the tanning solution in the shower that morning or afternoon. Do not exfoliate, shave or use a scrub of any kind to prolong the spray tan's color. Pat your skin dry with a towel--no rubbing!

-Go to the hair salon (or contact our very own makeup artist and hair stylist, Sara Lawrence!) and get that gorgeous style.

-Go home, put on your dress, and have the best prom night of your life!
